Allan Cotrone graduated from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science degree in business. After passing the CPA examination in Ohio, Al worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers in Chicago, initially auditing client financial statements and ultimately overseeing all HR functions for the firm’s 450-person Detroit office. In 1996, he accepted a position overseeing Career Services for the University of Michigan’s Stephen M. Ross School of Business, ultimately serving the school as its chief administrative and diversity officer. During his time at the University of Michigan, Al also served as the school’s representative to, and an executive committee member of, the Consortium for Graduate Study in Management. Today he is a Circle and Flame Honorary Fellow of that organization.
In 2015, Al relocated to the Twin Cities, and today is the vice president of Undergraduate Admissions and Financial Aid for the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul and Minneapolis.
